Given the President signaled a clear willingness to work with Democrats on infrastructure, I’ve asked Speaker Pelosi to consider both investments in broadband and policies that encourage investment in any future legislation that the House may consider. There’s tremendous untapped potential from the thousands of Virginians left on the sidelines in today’s digital economy.
Now is the time to put forth the necessary policy solutions to improve our nation’s infrastructure. I really do believe that broadband expansion will play a critical role in our nation’s future, whether that’s expanding telehealth initiatives to lower healthcare costs or improving access to online education. There’s tremendous untapped potential for economic growth, and I am hopeful we will make significant progress throughout the 116th Congress.
